Call for Papers

The 22nd Annual ACM/IEEE International Conference on Human-Robot Interaction (HRI 2027) will bring together researchers and practitioners to present and discuss the latest advances in human-robot interaction. HRI is an interdisciplinary research field involving robotics, human-computer interaction, human factors, artificial intelligence, engineering, and the social and behavioral sciences.

The theme of HRI 2027 is “Innovative HRI.” The conference will provide a platform for exchanging ideas on the theory, technology, data, and science of human-robot interaction, bringing together academic researchers, industry professionals, and practitioners in Silicon Valley.

Topics of Interest

HRI 2027 welcomes research contributions across the multidisciplinary areas of human-robot interaction, including:

  • Human-Robot Interaction Theory and Methods
  • Human-Robot Interaction Design
  • Technical Advances in Human-Robot Interaction
  • Human-Robot Interaction Systems
  • User Studies and Evaluation
  • Interpersonal Constructs, Social Signals, and Affective Interaction
  • Special Populations and Assistive Robotics
  • Teams, Collaboration, and Communication
  • Robotics and Artificial Intelligence
  • Human Factors and Human-Computer Interaction
  • Social and Behavioral Aspects of Human-Robot Interaction

Paper Submission

Authors are invited to submit original research contributions through the conference submission system. Full papers must follow the ACM Proceedings format and are reviewed through a rigorous peer-review process. Authors should select the appropriate submission track, such as Theory and Methods, Design, Technical, Systems, or User Studies.

Submission System: Precision Conference System

HRI 2027 also welcomes short contributions, alternative HRI submissions, workshops, tutorials, videos and demos, industry white papers, student design competition submissions, HRI Pioneers contributions, and late breaking reports. Please refer to the official website for the specific requirements and deadlines of each track.
