NSREC is an international conference covering research and developments in radiation effects on electronic and photonic materials, devices, circuits, sensors, systems, semiconductor processing technology, and radiation-tolerant and radiation-hardened technologies.

The conference technical program will include oral and poster presentations covering the breadth of radiation-effects research. Researchers, engineers, scientists, and professionals are invited to submit paper summaries describing significant new findings and developments in the field.

Topics of Interest Include:

  • Basic Mechanisms of Radiation Effects in Electronic Materials and Devices
  • Single-Event Charge Collection Phenomena and Mechanisms
  • Ionizing Radiation Effects
  • Displacement Damage
  • Radiation Transport, Energy Deposition and Dosimetry
  • Materials and Device Effects
  • Processing Related Radiation Effects
  • Hardness Assurance for Piece Parts, Systems and Testing Approaches
  • Modeling and Testing Techniques
  • Radiation Exposure Facilities and Novel Instrumentation Methods
  • Radiation Effects on Electronic and Photonic Devices, Circuits and Systems
  • Single Event Effects, Total Dose and Displacement Damage
  • MOS, Bipolar and Advanced Technologies
  • Systems on Chip, GPUs, FPGAs, Microprocessors and Neuromorphic Devices
  • Methods for Hardened Design and Manufacturing
  • Modeling and Hardening of Devices and Circuits
  • Cryogenic and High Temperature Effects
  • Novel Device Structures, MEMS and Nanotechnologies
  • Space, Atmospheric and Terrestrial Radiation Effects
  • Characterization and Modeling of Radiation Environments
  • Space Weather Events and Effects
  • Spacecraft Surface and Internal Charging
  • Predicting and Verifying Soft Error Rates (SER)
  • New Developments of Interest to the Radiation Effects Community

Paper Submission

Authors are invited to submit a paper summary through the official NSREC website. Paper summaries must be submitted as a single PDF consisting of a cover page and a two to four page summary. The cover page should include an abstract of no more than 35 words, paper title, author information and affiliation details.

Paper summaries are due by February 5, 2027. Detailed submission and formatting instructions are available through the conference website.
