ScopeThe 2027 IEEE IAS Electrical Safety Workshop (ESW 2027) provides a technical forum for professionals, researchers, engineers, safety practitioners and industry experts to exchange ideas and advancements in electrical safety and to help advance the electrical safety culture.
The workshop focuses on breakthrough improvements in human factors, technology, work practices, standards and managing systems that reduce the risk of electrical injuries and incidents in the workplace. ESW brings together professionals from industry, engineering, government and related fields to share practical knowledge, research findings, innovative solutions and real-world experience.
Topics of Interest Include:The IEEE IAS Electrical Safety Committee invites proposals for original, previously unpublished technical papers and tutorials for presentation at the 2027 IEEE IAS Electrical Safety Workshop.
Technical contributions should address practical electrical safety challenges and advance the mission of the Electrical Safety Workshop through improvements in human factors, technology, work practices, standards, regulations and safety management systems.
Authors may submit technical papers in different presentation formats, including full-length presentations, incident case histories and focus sessions. Tutorials are also invited to provide in-depth educational content for electrical safety professionals.
Presented papers will be published in the Conference Record and submitted to IEEE Xplore, subject to IEEE requirements and publication policies. Exceptional papers may also be considered for further publication in IEEE Transactions on Industry Applications or IEEE Industry Applications Magazine.

The Electrical Safety Workshop aims to accelerate the application of breakthrough improvements in human factors, technology and managing systems that reduce the risk of electrical injuries.
The workshop also seeks to stimulate innovation in overcoming barriers and to change and advance the electrical safety culture to enable sustainable improvements in the prevention of electrical accidents and injuries.
