IEEE SMC-IT/SCC 2026 brings together researchers, engineers, computer architects, scientists, practitioners and space exploration professionals to advance information technology, computing capability and reliability for space missions. The conference provides an international forum for discussing innovative hardware and software technologies that enable current and future space missions.
The conference covers every stage of the space mission lifecycle including conceptual design, engineering tools, spacecraft integration and testing, mission operations, science data processing, telecommunications, radiation-hardened computing, onboard systems, software engineering, and autonomous space technologies. Accepted papers will be published in the IEEE Conference Proceedings and IEEE Xplore.
Authors are invited to submit original, unpublished papers describing innovative research, practical developments and emerging technologies for space mission information technology and space computing. Full papers and presentation-only abstracts are welcome. All submissions will undergo peer review by the Technical Program Committee.
Authors should prepare manuscripts using the official IEEE conference template. Full papers may contain up to ten pages excluding references. Papers and presentation abstracts must be submitted electronically through the EasyChair submission system. Accepted papers must be presented at the conference to be included in IEEE Xplore.
